Christ is risen!
He is risen indeed!
The Love of God has triumphed
over the hatred of people and the violence of nations
For love is eternal and cannot be destroyed by death
God has raised Jesus from the dead.
God has honoured him and given him the name above every other name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow
And every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord
To the glory of God the Father!
Or in the words of my favourite band, U2...
The shackles are undone
The bullet's quit the gun
The heat that's in the sun
Will keep us when there's none
The rule has been disproved
The stone it has been moved
The grain is now a groove
All debts are removed
Oh can't you see what love has done
