Blessings and grace.....we give thanks to you, Abba Father

We want to thank you Barry, Elaine and Ruben and ???? for choosing to be part of our community- we are blessed to have you leading us. Life is exciting and so grateful that we are birthing this vision which really, is as old as the church, but as fresh as the Wednesday sometime during the winter of 2006 when it began to be birthed within Barry at a Wednesday Communion and Healing service.
So we look forward to this year with enthusiasm….
This past Sunday we were looking at Luke chapter 3, when Jesus was baptised by John in the Jordan. In the morning services we asked the question, “What is the primary focus of baptism?”
I felt it was two-fold:
On the Holy Spirit coming and deeply, yet gently touching us.
On the voice of God speaking wonderful, precious words of affirmation to us.
Then we asked whether we realised that baptism is in fact a gift from God?

God says to each one of us- “You are my precious child, and in you I am well pleased….” WOW! and Barry made this even more profound when he said at the 6pm service that God affirms us before we have done anything- what a picture of pure grace....
Let’s all live with those words and allow them to grow in us until we believe them, and can own them as a deep truth of how God feels about us.
As I said on Sunday, perhaps we need to speak these words of affirmation with God as we spend time with Him.
Blessings for this new week.
