My oh my how time has absolutely flown this year!
I still remember all the hard work we put into our Holy Week programme as if it was just last week, and now we’re about to be bombarded with the “Festive Season” adverts.
I guess it has been an extremely busy year all around with many things happening in our lives and in the life of the church. Just look at our new building complex, and all the amazing things we have ALREADY been able to celebrate in it! Can you remember (like me) thinking just how nice it would be if they would just hurry up and finish?
As we start to move in high gear towards the end of the year (look I’m a poet!?), may you all be immensely blessed with God’s spirit. And in all your haste and business, my plea is for you to remember…
Remember all the good things so we can do them again; remember the bad times, so we can learn from them; but most of all remember your family, so we can cherish them. Both at home and here at St. John’s, let’s link hands and hearts, and move together into a time of fun and celebration (and hopefully some relaxation!) as a community who cares with and for one another.
God bless
