not according to Jesus...
(Matthew 11: 16-19; 25-30)
reasons we are slow to act:
1. too many options
2. fear of failure
3. being criticised, or condemned for what you did
Jesus offers the "easy yoke", and responds to these things like this:
1. choose one (sure there are many options - just choose one) follow your heart
2. the only failure will be not ever taking a step (failure is not nearly as bad as "heartless" inaction)
3. Romans 8:1 says there is no condemnation. if you believe in God, and God doesn't condemn you, why worry about what other "heartless" people are saying about your willingness to take a risk, put yourself out there in trying to make some response to the hurt/need/pain etc...
so...
what are you going to do?

Following your heart is not always easy,in fact it is pretty risky- yet I agree with Matthew in his gospel, and Barry, we miss so much when we don't follow our heart!
