Just when we think that God has left the building... when pain and heartache overwhelm and we would call it a "God-less" situation... Along comes God Friday - to remind us that God has not abandoned the situation because it seems godless. In fact, God is not unfamiliar with godless situations!
That's probably why it's come to be known as "Good Friday" - the only thing that could make the tragedy of the cross "good" is that it powerfully speaks of God - right in the midst of the mess.
