We Are Christ’s Servants
Every Friday. 7:15-9:30pm
83 people spent last weekend in the mountains on the first youth camp of the year. The theme was GRACE, God’s undeserved favour and love poured out extravagantly on everyone. We learnt that people need loving the most when they deserve it the least. Campers were each given camp vouchers which enabled them to ask other campers to do things for them like wash their dishes, do 5 push ups or brush someone else’s teeth. Shock hit the campsite on Saturday night around supper time when everyone, including leaders, queued to get a number for supper. Table number 1 was KFC and pizza right down to Table 5 ‘enjoying’ dry bread and budget soup. There was tension (and requests for a refund). We reflected on how some people actually have very little to eat every day. Hungry tummies and worried minds were put to ease after worship when we all enjoyed a massive feast.
Thanks to the leadership, catering and logistics teams for all their hard work before and during camp. And praise God for another great camp!
